The digital revolution has significantly impacted the development of territories, cities, and communities. This seminar critically examines the contours of digital infrastructures that shape contemporary physical and virtual spaces by analyzing data through three key aspects: materiality, citizenship, and heritage. We will explore these aspects at the scale of the territory, the city, and the community. Each session is divided into two parts - a reading session and a mapping session on selected case studies in each scale. The sessions will include a data walk, guest inputs, and an exhibition visit. The seminar's outcome will be part of the upcoming exhibition at the Architekturmuseum der TUM in 2025, “The Architecture of Data”.
