This summer semester we will also have the BA elective Experimental Creation: From Matter to Meaning in our program.
We will explore how unexpected forms take shape through hands-on experimentation. Ancient memory techniques will guide us in transforming materials into meaning. Through process-based creation and a deep-dive in material exploration, raw matter will evolve into artwork. Embracing the unknown and the unpredictable to see where the process leads the material and what meaning can be drawn along the way.

We look forward to kicking off the summer semester soon, with welcoming the large group of all BA architecture students to the annual course Artistic Methods.
The topic of this year's course is OTHER BODIES and will be an intensive, hands-on journey into creative methodologies that challenge traditional notions of space and the human form. Through workshops, studio sessions, and critiques, participants will develop site-responsive artworks culminating in a public exhibition.

Dominic Cosentino joins the chair team, as our new Research Associate to kick off the summer semester.
Dominik holds a BA in Architecture from TUM and an MA of Fine Art from UdK in Berlin. He is an artist and researcher whose work critically examines themes of erasure, absence, and memory. Through multimedia installations, virtual environments, participatory design, and olfactory art, he creates immersive and interactive experiences that blur the boundaries between the digital and physical. His practice combines conceptual inquiry with technical proficiency, utilizing a variety of digital tools.
He teaches courses in creative research and visual storytelling. His pedagogical approach is informed by decolonial, intersectional feminist, and queer theories, encouraging students to situate their work within broader social and cultural contexts. With a practice that spans digital media, video, multimedia sculpture, and critical curatorial methodologies, he explores the potential of both digital and physical materials to convey complex narratives.

Anna Pasco Bolta and Lídia Chaves join the chair as semester lecturers for the upcoming summer semesters BA Architecture course Artistic Methods.
Anna Pasco Bolta is a Spanish-born artist who lives and works in Munich. Her transdisciplinary research explores mechanisms and models for understanding and constructing the idea of life and existence. Her approach intertwines natural sciences with poetic languages, questioning systems of coexistence and politics in pursuit of a more intimate and embedded role within biodiversity.
Lídia Chaves is a Brazilian artist currently based in Stuttgart, where she is completing a Master's degree in Architecture at the University of Stuttgart under the guidance of Prof. Sybil Kohl and Prof. Stephan Trüby. Working at the intersection of art and architecture, her practice blends a strong interest in language and storytelling with archival research, exploring the poetics and politics of space.
