COLLECTRA[SH]
The water village of ganvié is located in the southern part of Benin in lake Nokoué.
The coastal climate is tropical, with two rainy seasons (April-July and September–October) and two dry seasons. temperatures are relatively constant throughout the year, with the average high temperatures hovering around 30 °c and average low temperatures at around 25 °c.
The lake lies in the densely populated coastal area of Benin – surrounded by the large cities of cotonou and the capital porto-novo with a total population of over one million. this leads to many problems with waste and pollution.
The semester task is to design a collecting and transformation center for waste in Ganvié.
