Invitation to the lecture by Architecture Matters.
Architecture Matters is both the name and philosophy under which Amélia Brandão Costa and Rodrigo da Costa Lima practice. The duality of meaning that corresponds to both “matters of architecture” and “architecture that matters” represents the way they perform the various activities that range from architectural projects to curatorial, academic and editorial activities.
Their works and writings have been awarded, published and exhibited worldwide. They have been professors, guests critic, lecturers and juries at different architecture schools such as Accademia di Mendrisio, AA, ADBK München, EPFL, ETHZ, FAUP, Harvard GSD, KU Leuven, La Salle Barcelona, MIT, Miami SOA, Princeton, RCA and Yale. They are also founding directors of Indexnewspaper and Portoacademy.
MONTAGSREIHE is a series of lectures at the Department of Architecture. Thematically, it is mostly focused on young offices that can give an insight into the beginnings of their practice in addition to their work. The series is intended as an enriching contribution to the Munich architectural discourse between architects, students and architecture enthusiasts.
