Invitation to the lecture by FAKT.
FAKT is a young architectural office in Berlin and is run by Sebastian Kern, Martin Tessarz and Jonas Tratz. After studying together at TU Berlin, ETH Zurich and EPFL Lausanne and working in several architecture firms, they founded their own office in 2013.
Their work focuses on architectural and urban projects at various scales, accompanied by academic research and many years of teaching at DIA Dessau, TU Berlin and a guest professorship in Trento. In 2019, FAKT and its founders received the prestigious annual scholarship of the German Academy Rome "Villa Massimo". In 2021, they published "Berlin Maps" (Ruby Press), an atlas with unseen maps of the future of Berlin and its surroundings.
MONTAGSREIHE is a series of lectures at the Department of Architecture. Thematically, it is mostly focused on young offices that can give an insight into the beginnings of their practice in addition to their work. The series is intended as an enriching contribution to the Munich architectural discourse between architects, students and architecture enthusiasts.
