The next Parity Jour Fixe at the TUM Department of Architecture will take place on January 18th!
Social and physical spaces are mutually dependent and both constitute and transform each other. Looking at the current movement in Iran, social dynamics and behaviors unfold in space, on the streets, at universities, workplaces, and in digital space, as well as on a local and transnational scale, seeking to transform an oppressive and segregating regime. In an interdisciplinary panel discussion we will discuss spatial, philosophical, environmental and behavioral aspects involved in the movement:
Is the current upraising in Iran a feminist movement?
How do environmental justice, social justice and human rights intersect with the movement?
What is the role of urban space, looking at Enghelab Street (Revolution Street) in Tehran?
What are the effects of group dynamics and collective decision making in this process?
Intending to share knowledge, experiences and solidarity, we invite students and researchers to join our conversation.
