We are all socialised to be racist, sexist and heteronormative.
In this seminar we will look together at the role of the university in reproducing these internalised forms of discrimination, in architectural teaching and in the institution itself.
The teaching we experience every day claims to be generally valid, complete and universal. But is that really the case?
We are three Bachelor graduates who want to look at the university with you through a critical feminist lens. What are our demands on a university that corresponds to the current zeitgeist and does not stick to inert structures and conventional teaching content?
We think that we should not only learn through teaching, but also unlearn. In the seminar, we will therefore address the question of what a chair for all might look like: in terms of space and content.
If you would like to discuss these issues critically with us, please register and send us a short email to chairofunlearning(at)gmail.com. We would appreciate it if you could describe in a few lines why the seminar topic interests you.
We are looking forward to it! Marie, Lisa and Elena.
