WATER EVER II
In summer semester 2024 the Chair of Architectural Design and Participation aim to confront the urgent global issue of extreme weather conditions, which give rise to the dual challenges of drought and flooding. As an increasing number of regions grapple with the ramifications of drought, our primary focus will center on designing solutions to combat this multifaceted predicament on both the scales of landscape and architecture.
The intensifying specter of extreme weather casts a growing shadow globally. oscillating between prolonged droughts and sudden deluges, our world grapples with unprecedented climatic challenges. these disruptions devastate diverse regions, underscoring the urgent need for innovative and collaborative solutions. By uniting scientific advancements, policy initiatives, and global commitment, we aim to navigate this volatile landscape and forge a resilient path forward. As we confront these climatic anomalies head-on, we aspire to create a future where extreme weather is met with unwavering resolve.
Projects of the chair of architectural design and participation develop a sensibility to contextual factors from which invention can arise. Conceptual thinking combines with a hands-on approach for site- specific solutions. Understanding the needs of the community we are planning for is key to developing a strong program related to the specificities of place.
