On Wednesday, the 11th of September, the lecture by Prof. Yoshiharu Tsukamoto, Atelier Bow-Wow, will take place in the Vorhoelzer Forum (5th floor). The lecture was organized by the Professorship of Architecture and Design as part of the International Conference on Bioregional Architecture and Design Practice. The doors will open at 5 pm and the lecture will start at 6 pm with an introduction by Prof. Niklas Fanelsa.
Architect Yoshiharu Tsukamoto is the co-founder (with Momoyo Kaijima) of Atelier Bow-Wow (est. 1992), a Tokyo-based firm working in fields ranging from architectural design to urban research and the creation of public spaces based on the theory of behaviorology. The atelier has worked on diverse projects both in Japan and internationally. Yoshiharu Tsukamoto is also Professor in the Graduate School of Architecture & Building Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology. He earned his first degree from the Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1987 and received a postgraduate degree in 1990, and Dr. Engineering in 1996 from the same institution. Born in 1965 in Kanagawa, Japan, he currently lives and works in Tokyo.
