This panel will discuss how gender and diversity are represented in schools of architecture, in the history of the discipline, in theoretical perspectives and in the studio. The discussion seeks to look for ways of working and thinking that escape the cis-male/straight/western/able-bodied narratives which have, until now, dominated the way we think about and teach about the figure of the architect and about who architecture is made for.
The panellists are Henriette Steiner from Copenhagen University, a project leader of the “Women in Danish Architecture Project”, as well as Torsten Lange and Gabrielle Schaad from our Chair of Theory and History of Architecture, Art and Design.
