The next Parity Jour Fixe of the Department of Architecture will take place on February 10, 2022! Students and staff of the entire TUM School of Engineering and Design as well as interested parties are cordially invited to join the discussion!
Topic: Spaces of Disruption and Joy
London-based designer, urbanist and writer Joseph Henry will introduce the work of Sound Advice, a platform exploring new forms of Spatial Practice through music that he co-founded with Pooja Agrawal. Through experimenting with a range of projects in different media, designers and urbanists Pooja and Joseph debate issues of critical importance in the urban environment and develop alternative space for the future that speculate on how to make change. This is always accompanied with lyrical tips and music.
Leading the discussion will be Tonderai Koschke and Sarah Maafi, both MA Architecture students at TUM, who are currently teaching a module called “Decolonise! Continuities and Interventions” in which students develop curatorial interventions to unearth and make visible traces of colonialism in German cities and their buildings.
