Research
The current research topics at the professorship for Green Technologies in Landscape Architecture consist of techniques, methods and concepts on living constructions (Baubotanik), vertical open spaces, as well as the Living Bridges of the Khasie People in India. The professorship has testing fields in Dürnast, Hohenheim near Stuttgart and Bad-Zwischenahn. There, techniques on living constructions are developed and investigated. The approach is tested on a 1:1 scale using experimental structures, such as the living construction, or baubotanic, footbridge and tower in Wald-Ruhestetten and the sycamore cube in Nagold. The current INTERESS-I research project addresses the topics of grey water utilisation and green architecture, new vegetation techniques, as well as plant physiological and engineering principles of construction botany are being.
