Description
The Winter School ACS2018 brings together talented and motivated researchers from 7 different universities (see below) from a wide variety of disciplines in order to debate contemporary issues in Autoreactive Control Strategies. ACS2018 aims to provide participants with an outstanding environment to exchange research experiences and promote networking and a supportive and encouraging international setting where doctoral students can present their ongoing work and receive feedback from international experts and meet students and academics from other countries, establishing valuable contacts for the future.
This event’s main goal is to jointly draft a proposal for a research project application (e.g. European Research Project). The topic of the Winter School has a technical focus. Nevertheless, it has been selected intending to offer a broad framework to accommodate diverse understandings and research areas.
During the first week, participants will be able to present their own work and meet colleagues with common/complementary research interests. A brainstorming phase will take place afterwards. The doctoral students will participate in an ideas contest, working in small groups. Together, all participants will select the ideas to be specified in further detail during the second week. Supervisors of the attending institutions will guide the doctoral students along the Winter School through lectures, discussions and feedback sessions.
Application
Application is open to doctoral candidates from all disciplines within the architecture departments. Initial background knowledge and keen interest in the development of Autoreactive Control Strategies is expected.
