Research is the development of innovative solutions to old and new questions. The study of our living environment is motivated by the hope of understanding its interconnections. Perceiving the complexity of our world is part of our discovery, and so it seems to us that it increases as our knowledge increases. Thanks to international research in recent decades, ecological processes are becoming clearer to us and we recognize the urgent need to use materials, land and space sustainably in our constant quest for growth.
