Intervention MUC
Intervention MUC is a project collection of temporary installations and actions with a planning context in the public space of Munich in 2019.
In the search for new formats of participation, methods of art and temporary use come into focus. Planning offices commission artists, architects, organizers to experimentally play with public spaces. As part of a study seminar of the Chair of Landscape Architecture and Public Space, projects were researched and documented in spring in 2019. The results were presented at the symposium "ACTION, INTERVENTION, PARTIZIPATION. Art and interim use as participatory planning - (how) does it work?" on June 28, 2019 at the Vorhoelzer Forum of the Technical University of Munich and published here on this website.
The research work is assigned to the research field Intervention and Participation of the chair. In this field, ways are tested how the artistic work forms of installation and performance can be used as a means of innovative planning procedures and (citizen) participation formats to initiate architectural and social change processes in public space.
