Kulturstrand is a three-month temporary beach bar at the Vater-Rhein fountain. A kiosk sells drinks and food. There are concert events and various workshops.

Planning context ★★☆☆☆
Spatial planning context:
The inconspicuous island at Ludwigsbrücke experiences enhancement and perception as a public space through play. The cultural beach is advertised as a recreational oasis for stressed city dwellers. The isolated park island is very well suited for an oasis. Nevertheless, little is said about the place itself and its potential.

Thematic planning context:
Revitalization of a public green space. Otherwise, the thematic planning context is very general. It is more about free access to culture for all.
