Wanderbaumallee
The Wanderbaumallee consists of trees in planting containers that are temporarily placed on different streets in Munich, where they are cared for by residents as tree sponsors. Once or several times a year, the "avenue" is moved by activists through the streets of Munich to a new location.

Planning context ★★★★★
Thematic planning context:
Behind the project is the demand for more green in the street space. It is to be exemplarily shown and experimentally tested, which positive effects and which potential a greening brings along. Overall, the greening process is to be accelerated through awareness-raising work and citizen engagement is to be promoted.
Spatial Planning Reference:
Through the homepage, people can apply for the walking trees in order to test greening as a real experiment for a limited time at a specific location and thus enter into a discourse about permanent tree planting at the location. In 20 years, more than 60 streets have been temporarily enriched by the Wanderbaumallee, resulting in 150 new plantings.
