Planning context ★★★☆☆
Thematic planning context:
By means of a smartphone augmented reality app, a reality of a public space extended by virtual elements is made experiencable and designable.
Spatial planning reference:
The installation is an artistic examination of the (post-) war history of the Forum an der Münchner Freiheit or the former Feilitzschplatz in the context of future redesign. The terraced, brutalist concrete landscape designed by the architect Erhard Duwenhögger in 1971 caused resentment among the population for a long time; on the other hand, the forum became a popular meeting place; demands arose for more citizen use of the space as well as for an overall plan for the redesign of Münchner Freiheit.
