Topic

“Cities are the living space of the future. However, due to building development, increased traffic and climate change, it is becoming increasingly hot in the core areas. Near-natural green spaces are disappearing, and with them urban nature.” (WWF St. Gallen, 2022). Climate-friendly and liveable urban landscapes are particularly necessary under these conditions. How can we make urban landscapes fit for the future by taking local conditions into account and what can we learn from St. Gallen for the future design of our cities?
