10 landscape-architectural stagings ('acupunctures') on both banks of the river Isar are to trigger future meditative impulses and make for a wholistic experience of the river space. People from the different milieus and religious and cultural backgrounds should be offered the opportunity for reflection and encounter.
In 2012, a project working cooperative was founded in Freising to strive for a realisation of a "Meditative Isar Path" as a joint "Leader Plus Projekt". Involved are different agent such as the Catholic Priest's Office St. Georg, the Evangelical-Lutheran parish office, the Freising Forestry Service and the Munich Water Management Office as land holder of the area of the river banks, as well as the municipality of Freising as potential project trustee.
