On 6 February, five interdisciplinary teams had the privilege of presenting their findings and designs in front of the mayor of the city, council members, and planning-related professionals.
The aim of their work was to develop a long-term spatial strategy. The next 30 years were analysed using a comprehensive spatial analysis and a methodology for working with future trends. The five teams each presented an alternative future for "Buchs 2054" and used an overall strategy and specific spatial proposals to illustrate possible development paths for the region and local stakeholders.
The results now form a public exhibition that was opened on 6 February with numerous guests from Buchs. The students' work will be on display in the Evangelisches Kirchgemeindehaus in Buchs until 20 February. Information on accessibility can be found here.
Detailed documentation of the work will be available from the Chair of Spatial Development from mid-March.
