Matthias Ottmann, Prof. Dr. rer. pol. MRICS, studied economics in Freiburg and Munich. Since 1994 he was a member of the board of Suedhausbau (www.suedhausbau.de).
From 2004 onwards until 2014, he led the company as sole Managing Director. After several teaching positions at the University of Augsburg and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich, he is now teaching at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) as a honorary professor.
He is a member of the Advisory Board for BayernLB, the Advisory Board for BayernLabo, the German Academy for Urban Development and National Planning (DASL) and Vice President of BFW Landesverband Bayern e.V.
He is engaged in property developments in and around munich, focused on residential and commercial projects, with his company Urban Progress GmbH (www.urbanprogress.de). Since 2014 he is participant of the OPM Program, HBS, Boston MA. Beginning with 2017 Matthias Ottmann is elected to represent RICS, an internationally high accepted organisation for chartered surveyors and got shareholder of the family office Immobilis, Munich (www.immobilienvermoegen.com).
