Bhavatarini Kumaravel M.Arch.
Bhavatarini Kumaravel holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Thiagarajar College of Engineering, Madurai (2016) and a Master of Architecture from the Design Research Lab (DRL) at the Architectural Association in London (2019). Her Master's thesis focused on exploring Gamification and Digital Fabrication strategies to predict the future of Housing.
Following her studies, Bhavatarini worked as a Computational Design Specialist at Odico A/S, a construction robotics firm in Denmark, from 2021 to 2024. During her tenure, she developed parametric workflows for various fabrication processes, including 3D printing, 5-axis and 3-axis milling, and hot wire cutting. She also worked closely with the software team in developing end-to-end cloud-based robotic solutions.
Since July 2024, Bhavatarini Kumaravel has been a Research Assistant at the Professorship of Structural Design at the Technical University of Munich. Her research interests lie in robotic fabrication and the development of software tools and workflows that facilitate seamless integration between design conception and execution.
