Cem Günes M.Sc.
Cem Günes completed his Bachelor of Architecture (2019) and Master of Science in Architectural Design Computing (2022) programs at Istanbul Technical University. He is interested in the visual recognition and three-dimensional reconstruction of architectural and structural elements. During his studies, he focused on identifying different structural parts of historical Anatolian domes, synthetic data set generation, and deep learning for point cloud labeling. After his studies, he collaborated with various designers and digital fabrication companies as a computational designer to provide robust and customizable design solutions.
Since 2024, Cem Gunes has been a doctoral candidate and research assistant at the Chair of Structural Design at the Technical University of Munich. His research focuses on 3D reconstruction of bridges, health monitoring, and designing human-machine design workflow for new structures.
