Frauke Wilken M.Sc.
Frauke Wilken studied architecture at HafenCity University Hamburg from 2010 to 2013. Her bachelor's thesis was honoured with the BDA Study Promotion Prize. From 2013 to 2016, she studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Braunschweig, specialising in structural engineering. After completing her bachelor's degree, she worked as a structural engineer at Horn + Horn Ingenieure in Braunschweig. In 2017, she began her Master's degree in Civil Engineering at the Technical University of Munich, specialising in solid construction, metal construction, statics and a cross-section of subjects from architecture and timber construction, which she completed in 2019 with a Master of Science. During her studies, she initially worked as a tutor at various chairs in the fields of structural design, mechanics and statics, and later as a working student at Bollinger + Grohmann Ingenieure in Munich. From 2019 to 2021, she worked at the Chair of Structural Design as a research assistant in research and teaching.
Since 2021, Frauke Wilken has been a research assistant at the Professorship of Structural Design. In her dissertation project with the working title "Irregular beam structures - form, construction and load-bearing behaviour", she is working on non-standard beam structures.
