Sebastian Hoyer M.A.
Sebastian Hoyer studied architecture at the Technical University of Munich and at the Welsh School of Architecture at Cardiff University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts (2020). Hoyer completed his Master's degree at the TU Munich. At TUM, he specialised in timber construction and structural design and was part of the timber construction mentoring programme under Prof. Kaufmann, Prof. Nagler and Prof. Birk, completing his studies with a master's thesis on asymptotic geodesic timber lattices (2022). During his studies, he worked in various architectural firms, specialising in new builds and existing buildings, across all phases of work.
After his studies, Sebastian Hoyer worked at Holzfurtner & Bahner Architekten in Munich, where he mainly took on tasks in construction and project management. Since December 2023, Sebastian Hoyer is a research assistant at the TT Professorship for Structural Design.
In the course of his career, he has won several competitions, including the German University Prize for Timber Construction, the MAIV Prize and the Innovative Use of Wood, Climate, Recyclability and Timber Construction Student Prize of the State of Baden Württemberg.
