Ana Rivas studied architecture at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey - Campus Puebla in Mexico and later completed a master’s degree in Graphic Design at the London College of Communication (UAL) in the United Kingdom. Since then she has been focusing on the redesign and transformation of streets to enhance the quality of the public space and promote active mobility. She is currently pursuing a PhD on street experiments as a tools in urban planning to create more livable, sustainable, and resilient cities. Since 2020, Ana has been working at the Technical University of Munich (TUM) at the Chair of Urban Structure and Transport Planning. Starting in 2025, she will divide her work between this chair and a role at the Professorship of Urban Design as part of the MOSAIQ project.
